This image was captured on 4 x 5 inch B/W sheet film with a wooden large format camera. Other than some burning and dodging ,what could have been done in a traditional darkroom, no post processing was applied  Lonely palm trees in the Taylor Slough in the Florida Everglades. A slough is a slow moving body of water. A very shallow river really and the Taylor slough is the smaller of the the two main sloughs in the Everglades.
This image was captured on 4 x 5 inch B/W sheet film with a wooden large format camera. Other than some burning and dodging ,what could have been done in a traditional darkroom, no post processing was applied  beautiful scene in the Everglades National Park. Dwarf Pond Cypress trees are actually regular Pond Cypress trees, but stay small due to poor and dry soil. They also loose their needles or scales in the winter as in this image.
Intimate view of a cluster of pond Cypress trees in the Florida Everglades National Park. A cluster like this is called a Cypress Head and is caused by an indentation in the ground that fills up with water. This water causes the Cypress trees to grow larger than the surrounding trees. Hence the name. Sometimes this indentations are dug out by alligators.  This image of the Florida Everglades was captured on old school analog film with a large format camera. Film photography gives a tone and “feel” to the image that only film photography can accomplish. The film was developed by the photographer. After scanning, besides some old school local contrast adjustments (dodging and burning) no post processing was applied.
